DOA Policy

Please be available for the delivery of your package. We package our corals with best intentions to travel safely and arrive alive. 

Any coral which is DEAD ON ARRIVAL requires a clear non-blue picture or video within 1 hour of UPS delivery. Package must be received on first delivery attempt without attempts to reroute the package or intercept it at any location other than the shipping address provided in the original order.

We are not responsible for any death after arrival.

We are not responsible for damage to a coral due to coral dips for pest removal.

We are not responsible for tissue or skeletal damage caused by removal of a coral from the shipping container or from its original frag plug.

We strongly advise against shipping out on Thursdays for Friday Delivery. In the event that UPS experiences a delay for your package; it is certain to sit in a delivery truck or be returned to a distribution center for the entire weekend. There are few to zero corals which can survive up to 96+ hours in a small volume of water.

We are not responsible for shipping delays. We address corrective action for loss on a case to case basis. Any loss due to shipping delays or package mishandling must be claimed with UPS not Slick Reefing.

We audit daily weather forecasts between departure, distribution, and destination and will never ship if conditions are not favorable.

We are not responsible for damage or mortality caused by Flight Delays, Late Delivery, Mechanical Delays, Misplaced Packages to wrong address, Lost Packages, Temperature Abuse, Damaged Boxes, or Acts of God.

Please make arrangements to receive your package if anomalies occur such as rapid weather change, if the box was left under direct sunlight, downpour of rain, or other inclement conditions.

Corals are LIVE ANIMALS

Some corals do not ship well, and will not open up for a few hours to a few days while acclimating to your aquarium. Some corals lose color due to shipping and should regain their coloration within a few hours to days if your aquarium is suitable to house them.

We house and grow corals in a commercial setting which means we have any and all equipment necessary on a species specific level to maintain them in peak health and coloration. We are not responsible for how corals respond in your care due to placement, lighting, waterflow, or water chemistry.

You as a consumer electively chose to subject the animals to shipping and handling outside of our care.
